The weather is cooling off, and fall is in the air!  Bring on the bonfires, hoodies, hayrides, and festivals!  From the Great Forest Park Balloon Race and Glow, to Oktoberfest and Fright Fest, St. Louis has a ton of can’t miss activities coming up.

St. Charles Oktoberfest Sept 27-29

The 34th Annual Saint Charles Oktoberfest is just around the corner.  This family friendly festival celebrates with local and German banks, beer tents, wiener dog races, brat eating contest, parade, 5k, and no much more.  The event is held in Frontier Park off Riverside Drive.

Taste of St. Louis Sept 13-15

This event has been officially moved back to downtown, and will be held at Soldier Memorial Park.  It’s free to attend, and there will be plenty of food, art, and music.

Great Forest Park Balloon Race September 20-21

What is said to the oldest, best-attended hot air balloon race in the world, the Great Forest Park Balloon Race and glow is celebrating its 47th year!  This will be held in the Central Fields in Forest Park, with the festivities beginning at 5:00pm and the balloon glow kicking off at dusk.

St. Louis Oktoberfest September 27-29

Bier begins pouring promptly at noon on Friday, and this event runs through September 29.  The event takes place at 3229 Washington Ave, and entry is FREE.

Six Flags St. Louis Fright Fest September 27-November 3

Horror officially takes over Six Flags on September 27, and patrons can enjoy haunting thrills and activities for the entire family.  Enjoy haunted houses, scare zones, and more.

Hermann Oktoberfest October 5-28

Hermann Oktoberfest is a must.  German food, live music, winery tours, beer plus so much more can be found in this beautiful town in Missouri.  Oktoberfest runs every weekend in October, and attracts thousands from the midwest.

The Kimmswick Apple Butter Festival October 27-28

The Apple Butter Festival is Kimmswick’s largest annual celebration, and draws over 100,000 visitors!  Tons of live entertainment, 100’s of food, drink, and craft vendors – this family fun event is a must-do for fall.
