As we all navigate through this time of uncertainly, in a world that seems to be changing by the hour, I want you to know that we are still here for you.  We are healthy, we are 100% working, and we have implemented new processes to adjust to the social distancing guidelines.

First off, homes are STILL leasing. People are still moving, and people are still renting homes. We are considered an essential service, so we are still leasing and managing homes every day.

We’ve updated our processes to conform with the Covid Pandemic social distancing guidelines. All of our rental listings have tons of photos, and video walk throughs are being posted in the ads as well.

Anyone that wants to see one of our listings must first pass our pre-screening questionnaire, and then they are required to watch the walk through video before a self-viewing is scheduled. This helps cut down on unnecessary viewings and the amount of people walking through the property. We have also worked out special rates with our preferred cleaning company to complete a sanitizing cleaning prior to the new tenant moving into the property.

Our 14 point tenant screening process is still in full force, and current employment is being thoroughly verified. We aren’t just reviewing recent paycheck stubs – we also call the employer and make sure the applicant is still employed. This is something we have always done regardless, but in times like this that is more important than ever.

Like I said, we are considered an essential service, so we are able to continue renting homes. Once your home is vacant, we can help get it ready for rent by using the contractors and vendors that we continue to work with on a daily basis. Many municipalities aren’t conducting rental occupancy inspections until the house is vacant, so even if you’re moving out of town, we’re here to help with that after you’ve moved.

There are numerous national, state, and local laws that are being put in place, and constantly changing, and we are monitoring all of them to make sure that we, and you, are in compliance. With our membership in National Association of Residential Property Managers, the National Association of Realtors, St. Charles Association of Realtors, and several other national and local groups, we are keeping up to date as the laws continue to change.

If your property is currently rented and you want to transfer it to professional property management so you don’t have to stress about all of these changes, we can easily take over management for you right away. Our transfer process is simple for both you and your tenant.

While we aren’t conducting in-person appointments right now, we are still here to answer all of your questions, whether that be over the phone or over a zoom call.

This is a stressful, unprecedented time for everyone, and we are here to put you at ease by doing our part and helping you in any aspect that we can. Please reach out with any questions, or even if you need some free advice on your rental. Together, we will all get through these, and come out even stronger than before. And in the meantime, stay healthy, and stay safe.
